The Premise. Assassin’s Creed Liberation is a game inside of a game. You play as someone who is, in turn, playing an Abstergo Entertainment product called Assassin’s Creed Liberation. This means that some details have been tampered with to fit the Abstergo agenda. This will play a major factor in how the story unfolds.
Liberation, the day-one release side title to Assassin’s Creed III, is definitely a step in the right direction, with a much more well-rounded and cinematic feel more in line with the series’ core values. In addition to being released on a new handheld system, Liberation also has both a new lead character and approach to the game’s setting.
