The AF system on the 5D II (and, like you, I also own both 5D II and 5D III cameras) has an AF system that can focus from -0.5EV to +18EV. The AF system on the 5D III, on the other hand, has an AF system that can focus from -2EV to +18EV. In other words, the 5D III focuses in considerably less light than a 5D II.
Every lens I have seems to be a 1/32 turn of the focus ring off in Auto Focus. I have a 20D that puts my 6D to shame when taking Auto Focus shots with the same lens. My most used lens is a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM . On my 20D, I can swing around, snap, follow a bird in flight and snap again and have 2 perfectly focused pictures.
I do landscape photography and sometimes social events, such as weddings. The RP kit with the RF24-105mm F4-7.1 L IS STM is cheaper than the 6D MK II 17-40mm f4 L USM. The 6D weather sealing and better battery are great. But the RP is mirrorless, it weights and cost less, plus it can use the new RF lenses.
One of the most understated benefits of a clip-in Ha filter is the ability to capture h-alpha images with a camera lens attached. This opens the door to impressive, wide-field projects revealing the hidden H II gases in the night sky. Combining the Astronomik 12nm Ha filter with a 135mm lens is an incredibly effective combination.
